Lengthily and specially refined to bring out the best in great wines.

Ahead of any others Casali Viticultori planted internationally famous vines, including Sauvignon and Cabernet-Sauvignon in order to produce the right grapes for great still wines on the hillsides of Scandiano. Refinement in oak casks and lengthy ageing in bottles, in the company’s underground wine making facilities, at constant temperature and in the half-light, bring out the best from the reserve wines.

Do not be surprised if you visit in winter, with snow all around, to see grapes being pressed on our premises: we are making raisin wine from Spergola and Malbo Gentile grapes.

The grapes are set out to dry naturally for a few months, concentrating the aromas which can only be actually enjoyed two years later with a fine wine at the end of a meal, maybe to accompany toasted bread with herb cheese spread.

Bouquet:
Impressive, intense, bold, hints of ripe red fruit such as blackcurrant, aromatic, balsamic, spicy, hints of nutmeg, refined tobacco finishing aroma.

Taste:
Dry, warm, fairly soft without losing a touch of freshness, palatable, strong tannic content; appreciably full-bodied, well-balanced, intense, lingering.

Best with:
Stuffed duck, beef with green pepper sauce, game, assorted meats.

Serve at:
16-18°C.

FELIGETO FELIGETO
Cabernet Sauvignon

Ruby red intense with shades of garnet red.

Bouquet:
Intense and lingering hints of ripe red fruit such as cherry and wild berries, hues of freshly cut herbs.

Taste:
Dry, of just softness, pleasantly fresh, velvety tannic content give to this cabernet a full-body and persistence.

Best with:

Racommendet with roast meat, white meats with sauces, rabbit fricassee, baked lamb with resemary, roast beef with pepper.

Serve at:
10-12°C.

SANMARTEIN
Novello Malbo Gentile Hills of Scandiano and of Canossa DOC

Colour:
Lively and intense red/purple.

Bouquet:
Fragrant and fruity with unmistakable hints of blackberries and raspberries, vinous, inviting.

Taste:
Dry and pleasantly enticing, medium-bodied, nicely lingering.

Best with:
Boiled meat, oven-baked pork, chestnuts.

Serve at:
14-16°C.

Invernaia-copia INVERNAIA
Sauvignon Passito

Colour:
Bright, golden.

Bouquet:
Intense, subtle, ample and fragrant, with clear hints of apricot, ripe coconut, pineapple syrup, with refined finishing aroma of vanilla and iodine.

Taste:
Soft, sweet, well-balanced, very palatable, harmonious, lingering taste and aroma.

Best with:
Impressive dessert wine, ideal with cakes with almonds, cream pastry, pâté de foyer grass, unbeatable with natural gorgonzola, Roquefort or stilton.

Serve at:
12-14°C.

Intense and remarkably complex, with hints of cherry in spirit, fig and dates; a delicate rose petal fragrance, heavenly, sweet, reminiscent of honey.

Taste:
Sweet, pleasantly warm and soft, very palatable, full-bodied and well-balanced, lingering, remarkably refined.

Best with:
Cheese with herbs, jam pastries, bilberry pie.

Serve at:
14-16°C.

Bright straw yellow.

Bouquet:
Strong hints of tomato leaves, yellow peppers, citrus fruit, grapefruit, lime and slight mineral aroma.

Taste:
Dry, quite warm in the mouth, fresh and palatable, lingering.

Best with:
Culatello (choice cut of pork loin) and Parma ham, first courses with fish and white meats.

Serve at:
7-9°C.

Sauvignon Vivace Hills of Scandiano and of Canossa DOC

Sauvignon.

Colour:
Straw yellow with a glittering effervescence.

Bouquet:
Intense, reminiscent of vegetables and lime peel, mallow.

Taste:
Dry, nicely soft, lively and palatable, refined and well-balanced.

Best with:
Special pasta dishes with vegetables, pumpkin ravioli typical of the Reggiana region, risotto with asparagus.

Serve at:
7-9°C.
